3 Days Danum Valley Rainforest

 

Day 1: Transfer to Kota Kinabalu International Airport for flight to Lahad Datu. Upon arrival transfer to local authority office for registration and short briefing, then depart on a logging / gravel road for 2.5 hours overland journey to Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Lunch at the Lodge. Introductory to the forest through the “Nature Trail” and proceed to Canopy Walkway. Enjoy a scrumptious dinner after a long day. There will options for slide presentation and a night drive on an open-air jeep to search for nocturnal animals if weather permits.

Day 2: Breakfast at the Lodge. Guided jungle activities such as trek to the Kadazandusun burial trail – “Coffin Cliff” and continue journey up to the “View Point” and descend through the “Jacuzzi Pools” for refreshing dip in pool. Lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon riverside trekking. After dinner, proceed for another night walk on the quest to search for nocturnal animals.

 

Day 3: Breakfast at the Lodge. Morning optional activity – water tubing at the Danum River. After lunch, check out

and depart for a 2.5-hour journey to Lahad Datu for flight back to Kota Kinabalu.
