5 Days Kuala Lumpur and Penang
Day 1: Arrival - Kuala Lumpur
Meet and greet services upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), then transfer to hotel for check-in. Free at own leisure for the rest of the day or optional tour. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2: Morning Half Day Kuala Lumpur City Tour (B)
Despite the growing skyline of a modern metropolis, Kuala Lumpur has always been charming and full of characters. See the contrast between the Indo-Moorish architecture and the ultra modern edifices. Photo stops at the King’s Palace, a symbol of Malaysian sovereignty, the Independence Square and Petronas Twin-Tower - still the tallest twin-tower in the world! Visit the National Museum and drive pass the Lake Gardens, view National Monument, National Mosque, and the old Railway Station. Final stop is to appreciate the Malaysian pewter arts at the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre. The rest of the day free at own leisure or optional tour. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3: Kuala Lumpur - Penang (B)
Morning begins a 4-hour by land to Penang, passing scenic countryside, rubber and oil palm plantations. The rest of the day is free for own leisure on the sandy beach in the tropical sun. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4: Morning George Town Heritage Tour (B)
Explore the streets of George Town with its famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Photo stop at Fort Cornwallis, Penang's most prominent historical fortress. Visit the Peranakan Mansion which houses priceless antique collection and artifacts, showcasing an assimilation of cultures between the Malays and the early Chinese settlers. Within the vicinity, check-out the murals (street arts) depicting the simple life style of Penang. Next stop is the Penang Buddhist Association cum temple, historical yet no lack of daily worshipers. On the way back, option to view the oldest Protestant Cemetery in Southeast Asia, where the founder of Penang - Captain Francis Light laid to rest. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5: Departure (B)
The rest of the day is free for own leisure till transfer to Penang International Airport for your onward journey.
