Day 1: Arrival to Penang (D)

Meet & greet upon your arrival to Penang International Airport and get yourself ready to be thoroughly acquainted with George Town. This is the island’s largest city, site of the UNESCO World Heritage Old Town and home to some of the most vibrant street art, most delicious street food and most fascinating cultural and historic experiences in the country.

Check-in to hotel and freshen up before your evening tour begins.

George Town comes alive at night as the gourmet paradise of the East. A slow drive into the city takes you pass some of the landmarks and historical buildings of the colonial era. Pass Little India and part of China Town before the culinary experience of food tasting at a local Street Food Centre (at own expense). Try the famous Penang dishes like Laksa, Char Koay Teow, Rojak etc. After food tasting, have a feel of the old town ambience through a short and relaxing trishaw ride in the center of George Town. ​

Day 2: Penang City Tour (B/L)

Breakfast at hotel.

Today’s tour covers the main highlights of Penang Island. It includes Chew Jetty – the early Chinese migrant settlement in Penang, the intricate stone carvings and woodworks of the Khoo Kongsi (Clan House), the colourful Little India, the iconic 720-metre high Penang Hill by funicular train and the Kek Lok Si – Southeast Asia’s largest Buddhist temple with its 30-metre high statue of the Goddess of Mercy. Lunch en-route at a local restaurant, optional stops include Coffee Tree and Royal Selangor Pewter.

After tour, return to hotel and enjoy the rest of the day free at own leisure.

Check-out and transfer to Penang International Airport for your departure flight home.
